Namma Bengaluru - Protect Nature to Protect Ourselves!!
Namma Bengaluru is one of the most desired places to live for many people in India. Out of all the reasons that people have, the climate of bengaluru tops the list. Whenever we think of Namma Bengaluru the cold and cosy weather always stands out. Bangaloreans are privileged to live in a city which has such a pleasant atmosphere. The average temperature during the winters is around 14 degree celcius.
Off late, it's noted that the average temperature in Bangalore is on the rise. The Bengaluru Hudigas and Hudigis complain that the city's urbanisation has led to Bengaluru's Land Surface Temperature (LST) increasing from 33.08℃ in 1992 to 41℃ in 2019.
Every new thing that mankind does, always has a trade off between development and nature. The sad part is that nature is always being compromised in this trade off. This is very true of this beautiful place in Karnataka. Fast paced Development, Urbanisation, huge number of vehicles, rapid increase in population have all led to this increase in temperature.
Though we take pride in terming Banglore as a city which is a highly developed industrial hub the cost that we bear for the same is beyond quantifying limits. Growth, Progress and Development are all very much essential in life, but balancing the nature's beauty should become the priority.
It's high time to take proactive steps to restore the amazing nature's gift for India, Namma Bengaluru !
